Welcome to Hindu Students Association!

Hindu Students Association (HSA) is a religious organization that focuses on bringing Hindu culture and traditions to the University of Texas at Austin campus and on developing awareness of Hinduism around the Austin community. The Leadership and Ethics Institute at UT has presented HSA with the Swing Out Award for Best Cultural Organization for the last 3 years (2009-2011), and in 2010 HSA was also presented with the Swing Out Award for Most Outstanding Organization. HSA has also received the Raise Excellence Award for Best Cultural Organization the last 2 years.

Our meetings will be held in MEZ 1.120 at 7:30 pm starting from September 18, 2012. Our meetings are informative and discussion-oriented, and we welcome people of all beliefs. Whether you are an expert or are new to our topics, you will be thoroughly engaged. Check out our Meetings page for a list of this semester’s topics. Also, HSA has no membership dues!

In addition to our general meetings, HSA also hosts several Hindu events on campus. This semester, we are celebrating Navratri on September 28 on South Mall, Diwali on November 13 at Main Mall. We are really looking forward to meeting you and having a great semester! Take a few minutes and look around the site. Please feel free to contact us at LonghornHSA@gmail.com or visit our Facebook group! You can also join our listserv to get email reminders for our meetings and events!
